Cho 1 muỗng canh dầu ăn vào nồi phi thơm củ hành tím và 1 muỗng cà phê đường thắng cho lên màu rồi cho đậu hũ, thơm, nấm mèo, 1 muỗng canh nước tương, 1 muỗng cà phê hạt nêm chay vô xóc đều lên. Bắc lên bếp kho ,đổ lên 1 chén nước. Kho lửa nhỏ cho đậu hũ thấm gia vị và thơm ra nước ngọt, kho đến khi keo lại thì nêm nếm cho vừa ăn.
Thêm xíu tiêu, hành lá cho thơm. Đậu hũ kho thơm ăn với cơm nóng thì ngon phải biết.
